Meet Michael, the man behind the BudgetCutz

I’m Michael Lesesne, and BudgetCutz isn’t just my company, it’s my passion project. Born and raised right here in Jacksonville, I know these trees like family. But I wasn’t always scaling branches. Before BudgetCutz, I served in the Marines, crunched numbers in finance and mortgages, and even sailed the seas as a Merchant Marine.

Variety might be the spice of life, but for me, it was the seed of something more. I craved a career that combined my love for the outdoors, my dedication to community, and the challenge of building something from the ground up. That’s when BudgetCutz was born.

I went back to school to become a certified arborist, but the real education came from years of experience, both in the field and in life. I learned that resilience is key, just like the roots that anchor a tree. I learned that clear communication is as important as a sharp saw. And most importantly, I learned that treating people with respect, like the branches I handle with care, is the foundation of any strong relationship.
